A success story: Over 65% increase in Radiolopolis members in only 3 months!!!

Wow! What an exciting time we are going through!

We just took a quick look on our registration numbers and noticed that since December 2009 we increased our membership numbers by 66 percent! (Within only 3 months!!!) At the end of the RSNA meeting Radiolopolis had "only" 1800 members. With each day we notice an increasing rate of new registrations and to date we welcome 2730 members to our "family". Isn't this amazing!?

To a great extend we relate this high popularity to the extRead More...

Associated literature references and peer-reviewed Radiology resources in the Radiology Case Gallery

We did this weekend many improvements on the Radiology case gallery in Radiolopolis.
A final improvement is the embedding of several educational and research resources. A new tab has been added to each case that displays related latest publications for the discussed entity (thanks to PubRad - www.pubrad.org). Another educational feature is Read More...

New Radiology case gallery improvement: edit/de-identify online

We just added another update for the case gallery: edit/de-identify

Thanks to Medical Illustrator (http://www.medicalillustrator.net/) - which has been presented at the ICR 2009 and implemented into Radiolopolis - it is now possible for Radiolopolis members to edit their images directly from this website.

The owner of a case is now able to edit the images - even after upload. This is especially helpful if the author of the case forgot to de-identify the images. You may noRead More...

Another major update in radiology case gallery done!

And another major update have been done for the case gallery: Clickable hyperlinks and automatic thumbnail creation

It is now also possible to add hyperlinks to the case description. These hyperlinks will be automatically made clickable.

The hyperlinks need to be entered in the following format: The website URL

An example would be http://www.radiolopolis.com

The same applies to image links. The program recognizes if a link is rRead More...

Another improvement: Add images to your cases at any time

Radiolopolis members asked if it wold be possible to add images to cases even after the cases have been published. The answer: Yes! It is now possible.
To add images to a case is especially useful for the "quiz" function ("Guess the diagnosis"), so initially the case only shows a few pertinent images (enough to guess the diagnosis) and after the diagnosis has been revealed, additional images might add to the educational value of the case.

Radiology case gallery improved: discussions for all images shared

Dear Radiolopolis members - long wished and now came true:
Until now case gallery discussions were only shared for each individual image. Therefore it happened that parallel discussions were held for one and the same case but for different images and members did not now about it. This has been changed now and all discussions that are related to a specific case are shared alltogether.

Thank you for all of your suggestions!

New update - comments and like activities

A new feature has been just implemented into Radiolopolis: Comment and like activities!
One centerpiece of Radiolopolis is the activity stream where members can see what is new in the world of Radiology publications and news media, if new cases and videos have been uploaded and what other members are saying and sharing - basically what is going on in Radiolopolis.

Members expressed their desire to be able to interact even more and to be able to comment on these activitiRead More...

New free Dicom to image converter integrated into Radiolopolis

Et voila! A new feature has been just introduced in Radiolopolis: Dicom Converter !

Many radiologists struggle to save their interesting cases from their workstation directly as an image file. Even if they can, they might not know how to remove the patient identifier. This becomes a hazzle after the files have been converted and might even result in ugly disfiguring of the image or hiding of crucial areas by black boxes.

Dicom Converter is now the solution!
